LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 27, 2026) — The University of Kentucky Center for Clinical and Translational Science is opening applications for a two-year career development program designed to help early-career faculty launch independent research careers.

The substance use disorder is deadly and difficult to treat, with few treatment options available.

Applications are open for faculty and senior staff to serve as certified facilitators for the CCTS faculty mentor training workshops.

The submission deadline is July 10, 2026.

The program highlights many of the processes needed to initiate, manage, and close out a study at UK.

Nearly 1,300 researchers, clinicians, students, and community members gathered to share findings and catalyze collaborations, making it the nation’s largest translational science conference hosted by a single institution.
