Help Us Learn About the Impact of Distractions

Researchers at the University of Kentucky invite you to participate in a research study to learn if pupil size changes in response to visual images and background noises (distractions), and if certain distraction characteristics increase mental effort. Your participation in this research will last about two (2) days and will include two (2) visits to the University of Kentucky campus over two to three weeks. All participants will be paid $20 for full participation and will receive a parking voucher to pay for their parking.

 You may be eligible to participate if you:

  • have had a mild traumatic brain injury (TBI) or do NOT have a history of TBI
  • are between the ages of 20 – 50 years old
  • have no- or mild- visual problems and do not avoid reading due to vision issues
