This new monthly series showcases innovative research at UK that bridges the gap between laboratory discoveries and real-world clinical applications. Each session features experts from across disciplines who have successfully navigated challenges of translational science—overcoming barriers, forging collaborations and teams, and developing impactful and innovative interventions. Whether you are a clinician, research team member, basic scientist, clinical researcher, or simply curious about the evolution of translational research to the recent NIH focus on translational science as a means to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and impact of translational research, this series offers fresh insights and practical strategies for translating discoveries into improved health.
The BERD Bites Series is hosted by the CCTS Biostatistics, Epidemiology & Research Design (BERD) Core. BERD faculty and presenters provide opportunities to learn more about types of research design and provide training on biostatistics and data.
