Session Description

The Rapid Actionable Data for Opioid Response in Kentucky (RADOR-KY) system uses a wide variety of data to paint a more complete picture of the state of the opioid epidemic - and efforts to mitigate its impacts - in Kentucky. In this lecture, Dr. Hammerslag will discuss RADOR-KY’s development process, focusing on the role of user-informed design principles in guiding how we share data. She will provide a walkthrough of RADOR-KY’s public dashboards, highlighting how the system’s behavior encourages best practices in data interpretation. In addition, she will describe how RADOR-KY powers the data capture and dashboarding systems for the Kentucky Opioid Response Effort (KORE) and Kentucky Opioid Abatement Advisory Commission (KY-OAAC).
