The Internal Advisory Committee (IAC) serves as a vital bridge between the Center for Clinical and Translational Science and the broader University of Kentucky research community. Made up of senior leadership, including deans, associate deans for research, and directors of major research centers across UK’s 16 colleges, the IAC ensures that CCTS initiatives are deeply integrated into the university’s institutional fabric.
Our Purpose
The IAC provides strategic internal oversight to align CCTS resources with the university’s mission. By fostering multidisciplinary partnerships, the committee helps identify emerging research strengths within the institution, facilitates the sharing of core facilities, and ensures that the CCTS effectively supports investigators at every stage of the translational spectrum. Through their collective expertise, the IAC members help us build a collaborative environment that accelerates the translation of discoveries into real-world health impact.
