Oral Disease and Opioid Use Disorder Study Opportunity

Researchers at the University of Kentucky are inviting you to participate in a research study about oral health in individuals with a history of opioid use disorder. The goal of the study is to learn about the risk factors that contribute to oral disease onset and progression in this population.

You may be eligible to participate if you:

  • Are 18 years or older.
  • Have a diagnosis of opioid use disorder and are currently receiving treatment including drug therapy (such as buprenorphine, methadone, naltrexone) or non-drug therapy (such as counseling, abstinence).
  • Have at least 5 teeth on the top and bottom of your mouth.
