What is the Zoster Eye Disease Study (ZEDS)?

ZEDS is a clinical trial investigating whether long-term treatment with a pill, Valacyclovir, will help reduce eye disease and/or chronic pain in patients with shingles affecting the eye. Talk to your eye doctor to learn more. ZEDS is funded by the National Eye Institute/NIH, with additional support from NYU Langone Medical Center.
