Couples needed for a study on aphasia

Researchers at the University of Kentucky College of Health Sciences are inviting couples to participate in a study on aphasia involving collaborative problem-solving. The study involves simple screening tests of cognitive and language skills, an interview, and a questionnaire. Volunteers need to come to UK for 4 sessions lasting up to 1.5 hours each.

You and your significant other may be able to participate if you:

  • Are between 35-85 years old;
  • Have been in a long-term relationship for at least 3 years; and
  • Have had a stroke resulting in aphasia or your significant other has had a stroke resulting in aphasia.
