Nominations are currently being solicited for the combined Dean’s Distinguished Lecture Series and the Emery A. Wilson Lecture Series for the 2008-2009 academic year. Individuals with potential nominations should contact their Division Chief, Chair, or Program Director (College of Medicine), or Associate Dean for Research who will forward a nomination letter to Dr. Geanie Umberger. The nominees will be reviewed by the joint Dean’s Distinguished Lecture Series Committee and Emery A. Wilson Lecture Series Committee. The nomination letter must be signed by the faculty host and the Department Chair, Division Chief, or Center Director and include all of the following criteria:
1) Statement that the department will help to publicize the event;
2) Statement that the department will be responsible for coordinating the visiting speaker’s travel arrangements and visit while at UK;
3) CV of the nominated speaker;
4) The title or topic of the talk in addition to a brief paragraph on the clinical and/or translational relevance of the presentation;
5) Summary of the speaker’s credentials; and
6) A paragraph on the target audience for this speaker.
