Interdisciplinary PhD in Clinical and Translational Science
Currently undergoing curricular review, the Interdisciplinary PhD in Clinical and Translational Science is designed to provide supplementary interdisciplinary research training for professionals with health-related research interests that cross academic boundaries. The target audience for this degree will be exceptional health-related professional students and faculty. The program will include a curriculum designed to provide training in the core competencies needed to participate in CTS research as well as advanced interdisciplinary training tailored to the research interests and career objectives of the exceptional scholar.
The primary emphasis of the program will be mentored training in the conduct of research leading to well-reasoned original contributions to knowledge in health and treatment of disease. The program will support the development of the next generation of academically innovative, productive, and transformative researchers and leaders in CTS and support the development of the academic discipline of CTS at the University of Kentucky.
