Conferences, Seminars and Workshops
CCTS seminars and conferences are designed to shape the culture of clinical and translational science at UK.These opportunities are available to all scholars and community partners. Regularly scheduled seminars and conferences are listed , and special conferences, workshops and seminars are advertized through flyers and the CCTS Listserv. All CCTS events are posted on the CCTS Events Calendar.
Clinical and Translational Science Seminar Series
Research presentations by senior scientists and CTS scholars; translational workshops with clinicians and basic scientists, methodological presentations; survival skills training. Meets the second Wednesday of each month from 5:00 – 6:30 pm.
Deans Distinguished Lecture Series
Cutting-edge CTS research conducted at UK and other institutions, sponsored by the Dean of the College of Medicine. Meets the first Thursday of each month from 12:00 – 1:00 pm in the Hospital Auditorium.
Biomedical Informatics Seminar Series
Informatics topics of interest to the CTS community, including electronic medical records, data warehousing, algorithms for data mining, biospecimens management, and information technology tools.
Bioethics Monthly Lecture Series
As part of the UK Program for Bioethics, the monthly Bioethics Lecture Series provides insight on topics of interest to practicing health professionals and the community at large. Meets the first or second Tuesday of each month at noon in the Hospital Auditorium.
CCTS Spring Conference
Devoted to CTS scholar research, the CCTS Spring Conference offers both podium and poster sessions, with senior faculty providing focused feedback and mentoring.
CCTS Fall Conference
Devoted to career development and interdisciplinary collaborations, the CCTS Fall Conference consists of workshops on survival skills and career development, along with scientific sessions designed to promote collaborations and networking.
