Community Partners

CTS research education and training programs are available for community partners throughout Appalachia and Kentucky. These supplemental CTS educational activities are designed to support the development of research partnerships and collaborative research initiatives.

•  CTS Researchers at UK

The UK Appalachian Center provides an online competency-based course, Appalachia 101, to prepare CTS researchers to work effectively with community partners.

•  Professional Students

UK has a strong tradition of training primary care professionals who practice in rural communities. CTS research training is provided to professional students in the health sciences interested in working in the community.
