Community-Based Faculty Program

Administered by UK's Area Health Education Centers Office, the Community-Based Faculty Program manages and fosters the work of more than 1,700 volunteer faculty members who serve UK's six health sciences colleges.

The program offers professional development to community-based faculty at a nationally recognized conference in Lexington that attracts 200-300 participants each year. This conference has been combined with the Kentucky Ambulatory Network's annual meeting to incubate and support university-community research collaborations.

In Spring 2009, both conferences will be held in conjunction with the CTS spring conference, offering another venue for community-based faculty, practice-based researchers and UK researchers to explore collaborative research engagement.
