Poster Preparation

Poster Preparation
There are several options for preparing/printing a poster. There are a number of plotters in departments on campus, which are located:

  • SSTARS Center: Call to make arrangements for the staff to print your poster; a modest supply fee may be charged. Be sure to check with the individual services to obtain the directions for your PowerPoint file before you submit for printing.
  • Some Colleges and Departments have plotters available for their Faculty and students.  Check with your Department to see if this service is available.
  • The Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS): Plotter services are available at no charge for registered CTS spring conference poster presenters. To utilize this service:
    • Use the template available at this website to assure proper size;
    • If you prefer a different background, the Powerpoint page set-up must be set to Landscape, Custom Slide, Width 56 inches, Height 40 inches;
    • The PowerPoint file must be submitted as an e-mail attachment to Ann Christianson @ akchri2@email.uky.edu NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY, MAY 21st.
    • Please remember that images including graphs and logos should be at resolution of at least 150 dpi to prevent pixilation.
    • Upon confirmation of receipt of a file that meets printing specifications, the poster will be available for pick up within 24 to 48 hours.
    • If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at ccts@uky.edu.
    • Contact Ann Christianson to schedule a pick-up time at akchri2@email.uky.edu.  Posters can be picked up at the UKCRO House between 8:00am and 4:00pm, located at 1101 S. Limestone at the corner of State Street and Limestone, across the street from the new hospital construction. Parking is available behind the house. Map to UKCRO house
