We make research happen!
The mission of the Clinical Services Core (CSC) is to aggregate, integrate and enhance existing infrastructure and services that are essential for the efficient and ethical conduct of high quality clinical and translational research, and to expand capabilities beyond the medical center to facilitate clinical and translational studies that include Kentucky's rural populations.
The Research Development Office is the entrance to the CSC and is charged with assisting investigators in identifying appropriate services within CSC and the CCTS, as well as assisting in identifying other UK and external resources.
The Research Development Director consults with investigators to facilitate maximum utilization and efficiency of CSC and CCTS services. Ideally, an investigator should contact the Research Development Director as soon as possible during the creation of a research protocol. Investigators seeking extramural funding (NIH, pharmaceutical or other) are strongly encouraged to consult the office as soon as possible to obtain an appropriate budget for CSC resources needed to complete the protocol. The Research Development Office also provides letters of support and grant language to assist with extramural grant writing.
The CSC Services Pamphlet describes the range of services and facilities available through CSC.
If you are requesting CSC services, please complete and submit the CSC Service Request Form.
If you would like to discuss your research needs, please contact Elodie Elayi, MS, Research Development Director/Concierge: elodie.elayi@uky.edu. This includes NIH, pharmaceutical or other extramurally funded protocols.
