Thomas H. Kelly, PhD
Thomas H. Kelly, PhD, director, Research Education, Training and Career Development, is the Robert Straus Professor and vice chair of the Department of Behavioral Science in the College of Medicine. Additionally, he is professor of psychiatry (College of Medicine) and psychology (College of Arts and Sciences), a faculty affiliate of the Center for Drug Abuse Research, and a member of the Medical Institutional Review Board.
Dr. Kelly is a clinical behavioral pharmacologist with an active research program on drug-behavior interactions and assessment of bio-behavioral factors associated with individual differences in drug abuse vulnerability. He has been continuously funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for the last 24 years and is currently the Principal Investigator of two NIH Center grant projects. Moreover, he serves as the scientific director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse-funded Center for Drug Abuse Research Translation.
