Ada Sue Selwitz, MA
Ada Sue Selwitz, MA, co-director, Regulatory Support and Research Ethics, is director, UK Office of Research Integrity. A national leader in research regulation, she has served on the Department of Health and Human Services Secretary’s Advisory Committee on Human Research Protection; the National Cancer Institute, Partners Healthcare, and Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research Human Tissue Working Group; and the NIH Regulatory Burden Working Group streamlining NIH grant review processes. Ms. Selwitz co-developed an investigator training CD-ROM widely distributed by the Office of Human Research Protections as a training resource. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including two from the Applied Research Ethics National Association: the Distinguished Service Award and the Appreciation Award. Ms. Selwitz also received the National Council of University Research Administrators’ Outstanding Achievement in Research Administration Award. Among her current initiatives is the Regional IRB Consortium to facilitate research collaborations between UK and our outreach partners.
