Debra Moser, DNSc, MN, RN, FAAN
Debra Moser, DNSc, MN, RN, FAAN, associate director, Center for Clinical and Translational Science, is the Linda C. Gill Endowed Professor of Nursing. She has over 180 publications in cardiovascular research and related areas and is the PI or Co-I on six extramurally funded grants, including four NIH awards. Her clinical interests and research program concentrate on improving morbidity and mortality outcomes in patients with heart failure or acute coronary syndrome using nonpharmacologic interventions. She also studies the interaction of social, psychological and behavioral variables with physical clinical outcomes.
Dr. Moser has earned numerous honors and awards, including the 2006 Katharine A. Lembright Award from the American Heart Association Council on Cardiovascular Nursing, the 2007 Distinguished Research Lecturer by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, and the 2008 Kentucky Nurses Association Nurse Researcher of the Year. Dr. Moser is the co-editor of the Journal of Cardiovascular Nursing.
